About Claire and Hugh
Hugh and Claire make pottery in Ditchling and Glynde, East Sussex. They started with lessons from Ralph Levy at the Handmade House in Ditchling and have loved playing with clay since.
Together they collaborate on projects; throwing pots on the wheel in stoneware, hand-building pieces using traditional techniques and experimenting with playful decoration.Their pieces use simple, functional forms, decorated with natural textures and mark making.
